Sítio Vivenda das Águas is managed by its current owner, Mr. Antônio Carlos Ciro Santana, who has been a coffee producer for over sixteen years. The property is located in a region with an average altitude of 780 meters with a partially rough topography that provides an excellent environment for coffee plantations, with high fertility soils and mild climate. The current owner is concerned with the animals and plants of the region, recognizes the importance of this practice and maintains Atlantic Rain Forest reserves in his farm.

Coffee processing system

Planting and harvesting are performed manually. After the coffee is picked, it is washed and subsequently transferred to the cherry pulper. Then, the beans transferred to cemented terraces, where they are separated according to their quality.

At this stage handling receive special attention to preserve the beans quality and characteristics. After quality selection - when the beans go through a gravel collector, screens and electronic bean selector - the separated and classified lots are stored in wooden bins.

Concern with quality

The quality of the coffees produced at the farm is a constant concern of Sítio Vivenda das Águas. From coffee planting to processing, standards are strictly followed to obtain an excellent quality for the end product.
