Mr. Benedito Pereira de Faria acquired Sítio Embiral in 2000, and opted for coffee production as the main activity of the farm. He began by planting approximately 15 hectares of arabica coffee (Yellow Bourbon variety), area that he expanded to the current 30 hectares of plantations. Mr. Pereira de Faria invests in the construction of processing facilities, to further improve the quality of Sítio Embiral's final products.
Coffee processing system
All Sítio Embiral's coffees are processed according to the wet-processed pulped natural method. Processing is performed jointly with "Sítio Laranja Cravo", which receives the lots to process. After processing, the lots are sent back to Sítio Embiral for subsequent quality control.
Concern with quality
Sítio Embiral counts with the support of Agronomist Adolfo Ferraz Pereira, who provides the guidelines for high quality coffee production. Quality is the key element of Sítio Embiral's activities. Currently, the high level of coffee offers in the world market is making coffee an increasingly more devaluated commodity. In this context, the market requires coffees with quality excellence, differentiating them to meet consumers' demands and overcoming the high world offer.
