Mr. Félix Adalberto Nacif Santos, who also owns a bordering area called "Sítio das Palmeiras Imperiais", acquired Sítio Primavera in 2002. Sítio Primavera cultivates coffee of the Catuaí variety, whose plantations are - in average - 15 years old. Coffee plantations are being renewed through upkeep, pruning and re-strains.
Coffee processing system
Coffee is picked when the coffee reaches its highest maturation level, providing a good yield when pulped. Demucilage is used according to climatic conditions, since the drying process is carried out on a cement terrace, where the process requires permanent attention. When the beans reach 11.5% humidity, the coffee is stored in the farm's own bins until it is processed and subsequently transported to the reprocessing warehouse.
Concern with quality
Clear water is used in all phases. The water is recycled within environmental standards. There is permanent control over terraces, bins and equipment cleansing, used during coffee preparation, drying and storing phases.
