Fazenda São Gabriel is located in the most traditional fine coffee production region of Brazil. The local climate provides the blossoming concentration around September/October, consequently, obtaining uniform maturation of the fruit during the period before winter, when harvesting begins (dry period).
There are high differences in temperature between days and nights, because of the mountainous (mountain range) relief, which causes high concentrations of soluble solids in the fruit resulting in cups with aroma, body and sweetness that are characteristic to specialty coffees.
Coffee processing system
Coffee production is performed according to the following stages:
- Fruit washing and separation;
- Pulp removal;
- Pre-drying on the terrace;
- Complete drying in appropriate dryers;
- Processing;
- Storage.
Concern with quality
Southern Minas Gerais, in the highest points of the Mantiqueira Mountain Range, is the most tradition region for fine coffee production in Brazil. The beans used in the ARTE CAFÉ blend are exclusive of the Coffea arabica variety and originated from Fazenda São Gabriel, located in the Municipality of Guaxupé, in Southern Minas Gerais.
