Located in the Municipality of Paraisópolis, South of Minas Gerais, the farm is well known for the quality of its coffees that were present in previous Cup of Excellence Contests. The farm has excellent soil, climate, and is at an altitude of 1100 meters.

The farm has been in the hands of the family since 1915, and currently is managed by Agronomist Paulo Sérgio de Almeida and his brothers Celso de Almeida and Helder de Almeida. During the last five years, coffee plantations have been organically cultivated. The farm is certified by IBD and has the export seal for Europe, the United States and Japan.

In addition to coffee, the farm has dairy cattle raises pigs, and has sugar cane plantation for fodder. The farm has 25 permanent employees who receive monthly salaries above the regional minimum salary and other benefits.

All residues from cattle raising, pig raising and the leftovers from fodder, coffee husks, saw dust and charcoal are used to make organic compost, utilized as a fertilizer for coffee and fodder sugar cane. Since Fazenda Santa Terezinha is an organic farm, no chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used in the farm.

Coffee processing system

Coffee is picked manually on cloth, and only the ripe beans are selected and then pulped. The beans are dried in suspended and covered terraces of the greenhouse type, where the beans remain until they reach the ideal humidity level.

Concern with quality

The farm's owners and their employees are focused on quality from managing the plantations until the coffee is ready to be sold, always taking great care to protect the environment. Harvesting is selectively made, and the beans are dried on suspended terraces. The coffee lots are maintained separately by coffee field.

Quality is also the result of the property's characteristics, such as high fertility soil, mild climate and organic handling utilizing biomass, composting, etc. that is improving soil fertility year after year.
